Sarah plays a dual role, servicing both personal and commercial lines while also overseeing the agency’s financial operations. Her background spans a wide range of specialties, including commercial property and liability, contractor coverage, and insurance programs for small to mid‑sized businesses. On the personal lines side, she supports clients with homeowners, auto, umbrella, and various specialty policies. Amanda is recognized for her practical, detail‑driven approach and her ability to align insurance strategies with real‑world operations and lifestyle risks.

As a hands‑on manager and dedicated client advocate, she acts as a central point of contact while collaborating closely with underwriting partners and internal support teams to deliver responsive service and thoughtful risk management. My career in customer service began at just 14 years old, laying a strong foundation in working with people—something I consider one of my greatest strengths. My journey into the insurance world began after a year in the medical field, when a former colleague introduced me to the opportunities and impact of the industry. Since then, I’ve been passionate about helping clients protect what matters most through transparency, empathy, and exceptional service. Providing outstanding client care isn’t just a professional expectation; it’s something I truly value and take pride in. Outside of work, I’m passionate about fashion, sports cars, and self-development, but most importantly, my greatest joy and motivation come from being the best mom I can be.

Jennifer brings more than 20 years of experience in office management, accounting, and financial operations. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong background in bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, human resources, and process improvement, helping businesses build efficient operations and maintain sound financial practices.

Jennifer’s experience spans multiple industries, where she has been recognized for her organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative approach. She enjoys streamlining processes, solving operational challenges, and supporting both internal teams and clients with professionalism and integrity. Formerly a manager at Allstate, I joined Colstan & Associates in 2023, bringing with me a certification in both personal and commercial lines. My unwavering commitment to excellence is the cornerstone of my work, whether I’m assisting clients in our sales department or providing top-notch service. I firmly believe that prioritizing the needs of my clients and upholding a standard of professionalism are key factors in achieving success. Outside of my professional endeavors, I enjoy exploring new culinary delights. Additionally, my love for animals extends to all creatures, but there’s a special place in my heart for cuddling with my beloved cat at home.

With over four decades of experience in the insurance industry, Karen Burdick brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the Colstan & Associates team. She began her career in 1979 and spent 17 years at Travelers Insurance, followed by roles at several well-respected agencies. After retiring at 65, Karen’s passion for the industry brought her back just two years later, this time in a part-time role where she continues to make a meaningful impact. At Colstan, Karen supports day-to-day customer service operations and serves as assistant to the CSR manager, helping ensure every client receives timely, accurate, and thoughtful support. Known for her attention to detail and decades of insight, Karen is a go-to resource for both colleagues and clients alike.

I’m a member of the marketing and media team at Colstan, where I focus on social media and content creation. With a bachelor’s degree in English and Film from SUNY New Paltz, I have a strong foundation in storytelling, communication, and creative media. I’m passionate about creating engaging content that helps connect Colstan with its clients and community while strengthening the company’s digital presence. Through our podcast, In Tow with Colstan, I help connect the towing community with the insurance industry by providing valuable insights, information, and perspectives. Outside of work, I enjoy teaching piano lessons and reading.

Marcos Quiñones, began his insurance career in 2019, building experience across both customer service and producer roles. Before joining the insurance industry, he spent a decade in the printing industry, successfully owning several small businesses. This experience shaped his entrepreneurial mindset and deepened his understanding of client needs.

Fluent in Spanish and closely connected to Puerto Rico, where he studied and spent much of his time, Marcos brings a diverse perspective to helping clients protect what matters most. He specializes in building long-term relationships and providing trusted insurance solutions that combine professionalism, transparency, and care.

Marcos is passionate about helping individuals, families, and business owners make informed decisions about their insurance coverage. His approach emphasizes education, reliability, and personalized service qualities that make him a valued member of the Colstan & Associates team.

Outside the office, Marcos enjoys boxing, coaching, farming, and spending quality time with his wife of 32 years, his high-school sweetheart, and their two boys.

Born and raised in Queens, NY, and now proudly residing in Nassau County, Monica Martins brings over three decades of industry expertise to Colstan & Associates. She began her insurance career in 1991 and has held her Broker’s License since 1994, building a dynamic background across both the agency and carrier sides, including ten influential years with Zurich Small Business.

Monica has extensive experience in commercial lines, serving in account executive, marketing, and sales roles across new business and renewals. She leads with a philosophy grounded in authenticity and connection: you can’t build meaningful relationships if you’re not willing to listen. As a true people person and thoughtful communicator, Monica is known for helping clients feel supported, understood, and fully informed about their insurance decisions.

Outside of her professional work, Monica is a proud mom to three wonderful daughters, ages 23, 21, and 19, and the not-so-proud owner of two cats who keep the household lively.

Oscar also brings a unique perspective to his work through his background as a wedding photographer for more than three years. A graduate of St. John the Baptist DHS (2014) and Mount Saint Mary College (2018), Tyler discovered his calling in the insurance industry shortly after completing his studies. Over the past 3–4 years, he has worked with diverse clients, guiding them through their insurance options and providing clear, straightforward advice. As a result, clients trust Tyler to help them protect what matters most while keeping coverage affordable.

In addition, Tyler’s approach emphasizes relationship-building. He listens closely to each client’s needs, identifies gaps in protection, and delivers solutions that balance comprehensive coverage with cost-effectiveness.
